Nyla P. Brock

Hi my name is Nyla Brock. I’m ten years old. I live in Durham, NC with my mom and twin brother. I’m in the 5th grade and the president of my class. I’ve been writing since I was 7 years old. I really love to write stories about how you should do the right thing and make good choices.

I enjoy dancing and singing at my church. I also enjoy cheerleading, going shopping, hanging out with my friends, getting a pedicure and a manicure, and hanging out with my family. I love all neon colors but my favorite ones are blue and green.

I want to be a famous children’s author and teacher. I like to teach young kids. I plan to be a good role model for children. I love having younger children around especially babies. I’m looking forward to babysitting when I get a little older.

Kennedy
Kennedy is a 12 year old entrepreneur, who got her start through a Girl Scout service project. Kennedy and her fellow Girls Scouts had to each raise $50.00 on their own, for Sarah's House (a family shelter in Ft. Meade, MD). To complete this task, Kennedy sold bottled water to her classmates. She then went on to make jewelry with her mom as a hobby. This hobby soon turned into a business. Kennedy's classmates would place orders for holiday presents for family members. Now you can catch Kennedy at your local craft fairs. In recognition of her work, Kennedy has been featured in her town's newspaper (Capital Gazette), as well as, Girl Scout Vine.
